Low water above Kirklees Bottom Lock causing me to ground; I had to reverse towards the lock and use the plank to get off. It took nearly 30 minutes to let water down from the pound above, which fortunately was fed by the river.

Brighouse Basin

Moored in Brighouse between Sainsbury's (left) and Mill Royd Mill, now luxury flats

You couldn't get much closer to Sainsbury's for shopping!
